Hi! This is a series of posts where I leave space for my international friends to describe how are their cities and tell some recommendations for visitors.
Today: My friend Farah introduces her city: Kuala Lumpur, which I visited too this last February to see her again.
Preliminary note: Kuala Lumpur is KL (“kel”) for the locals
KL in 3 adjectives: vibrant, multicultural and modern
Favourite place: Kuala Lumpur City Center (KLCC) Park – More info
A good recommendation for visitors: KLCC Park, Taman Tasik Perdana (the botanical garden of the city) and Masjid Negara (the National Mosque)
Best outdoors activity: Cycling and brisk walking in parks in KL
Best #foodporn place: Restoran Nasi Kandar Pelita for local cuisine and Indian cuisine can be found in Jalan Ampang area
Atmosphere and people: friendly locals, food heaven and various cultural celebrations all year round
Worst fact: KL can be very hot and humid, there is a heavy rain season (don’t forget the umbrella for that period) and if you’re planning to drive get use to its horrible traffic jams!

Locals speak: Vivint a Kuala Lumpur
Hola!
KL en 3 adjectius: vibrant, multicultural i moderna
Lloc preferit: Kuala Lumpur City Center (KLCC) Park – Més info

Thanks for sharing tips from a local! I would love to go to Kuala Lumpur. I met a nice couple from there when I was traveling in Japan in March and they told me all about the great food. Sounds fantastic!
